Mary ("Joyce") Egan, Appleton, age 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 24, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Little Chute on April 20, 1934.  Joyce was known for her kindness and generosity.   She treasured the people in her life and found joy in serving and caring for them.    She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her sense of humor is unforgettable and lives on in her children.  Joyce was welcoming and gracious to all who visited for coffee: no one left her apartment empty-handed.   She touched many lives and will not be forgotten.

Joyce is survived by her children:  Patricia Ellis, Tucson, AZ; Mary (Rafael) Rodriguez, Appleton; Julie (Jim) Schuster, Ft. Myers, FL; Lori (Jim) Altman, Neenah; Kelly (Jeff) Schmid, Hilbert; Karen Egan (Mike Botzet), Kaukauna; and William Egan, Menasha; Val (John) Rohr, Appleton; grandchildren: Holly Ellis, Clint and Trevor Carter; Shawn Belling, Jackie Vargas; Troy Egan; Becky Geiger, Maggie Altman; Corey DuFresne, Kristin (Jay) Costin, Jeffrey, Ryley, and Skyler Schmid; Darek Stuber, Cole Botzet; Jack and Alison Egan;  siblings:  Darlene (Mike) Bevers and Tommy (Lynn) Peeters.  She is further survived by all her wonderful great-great grandkids and friends.

In addition to her parents Orville and Verona Peeters, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Carl (Margaret) Peeters.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Ewart officiating.
