Mary Dee
Bartolazzi
October 7, 1946 – September 5, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Dee Bartolazzi (Heintz) announces her passing. Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother gained her angel wings on September 5, 2021 at the age of 74. Her final hours were spent surrounded by her children and husband.
She was born on October 7, 1946 in Alton, IL, the daughter of William and Irma Dee (Frohock) Heintz and married Peter Bartolazzi on March 15, 1969 in Springfield, IL.
After high school she graduated with a certificate in radiology from St. John's Hospital in Springfield IL where she met the love of her life, Pete. She held various positions over the years with many different hospitals and health care clinics.
Mary Dee's loving and caring ways showed brightly through the love she shared with her family. She savored her retirement years by spending time with her grandchildren, sharing so much love and so many memories with them. Her love did not stop with just her immediate family. Mary Dee put everyone else first. Her fun loving, caring, and faith filled life has left an everlasting impression on everyone she touched the heart of. She never missed an opportunity to make everyone in her life feel special and loved.
Mary Dee enjoyed traveling, gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, cooking family recipes, and especially teaching her grandchildren her passions. Throughout her life she has enjoyed volunteering and giving to others. Most recently, she enjoyed her time at Primitive Gatherings and volunteering at Grignon Mansion, the library and church.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Peter J Bartolazzi; her children: Tom (Camie) Bartolazzi, Angie (Mike) Boudreau, and Theresa Bellile; her grandchildren: Megan Boudreau, Jordyn and Joe Bartolazzi, Conner and Claire Bellile; her step-children: Keith (Deb) Bartolazzi and Peter (Geralyn) Bartolazzi, along with their 10 children and 17 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Jim (Deb) Heintz and Jeff (Sallie) Heintz and their children and grandchildren;
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Irma Dee Heintz; mother and father-in-law, Peter and Marge Bartolazzi; and step-son Kevin Bartolazzi.
