Obituary

Marlene A. (Ellis) Grimmer, De Pere, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2019. The daughter of the late Elwood and Marie (Falevesky) Ellis was born in Greenleaf on April 12, 1937. Marlene married William Grimmer at St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere on May 21, 1966. Together, they raised 5 children. She graduated from East De Pere High School and attended beauty school. Marlene enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made many special items for so many. She really enjoyed every single moment she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marlene is survived by her children: Debby Douglas, Diane Schultz, Dan (Ellen) Eisenschink and Cheryl (Ron) Pennenberg; grandchildren: Justin Miller, William Fisher, Rachael (Dan) Gourley, Jason and Jeremy (Amber) Eisenschink, Corey, Anthony and Jacole Pennenberg, Krystal (Jeremy) Nechedom, Kyle Eisenschink, Jason (Rhonda), James (Amanda), Jessica (Shawn Knott) and Justin Douglas; great grandchildren: Hunter, Cailyn, Dylan, Avery, Daniel, Taylor, Brady, Raegan, Joplin, Kylee, Conner, Ember, Tiffany, Michael, David, Natalee, Angela, Jordan, Anthony, Tabatha, Tyler, Tanner, Trever, Hunter, Jared and Jada; brothers: Leon and Alan (Sandy) Ellis; and sisters-in-law: Nancy (Ron) Verkuilen and Bonnie Van Evenhoven. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Evelyn Grimmer; son, David; grandchildren: Jessica and Josh; and other relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. The Rev. Walter Steinbach will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

Marlene will be greatly missed by one special little buddy, her great grandson Brady. He was her sidekick and he always made sure she had what she needed.
