December 23, 1924 – January 6, 2018
Marjorie Heinzen Koglin, born December 23, 1924, entered into eternal life with our Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 93.
A lifelong resident of Kaukauna, Margie graduated from Holy Cross Catholic School in 1938 and Kaukauna High School in 1942. She married Emil H. Koglin on October 18, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1987.
Margie worked 35 years at Huntington Bank; taking numerous bank related classes at Fox Valley Technical College, advancing from Assistant Cashier to becoming the first lady officer as Assistant Vice President.
A dedicated Packers Fan, Margie was a season ticket holder and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers since 1948. She attended the Ice Bowl in 1967 and missed very few games. Margie played golf daily as a charter member of the Fox Valley Golf Club, serving as the first lady on the Board of Directors from 1991-96. As a member of the Kaukauna Community Health Associates, she co-chaired the February Style Fund Raiser for 10 years. She was also a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Women in Management and the Kaukauna American Legion Auxillary Post 41. Margie loved playing bridge, walking, reading, shopping and visiting with friends.
In addition to her husband, Emil, Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary (Backhausen) Heinzen; and her brother, Roy A. Heinzen.
Margie is survived by her sister-in-law: Joan M. Heinzen; nieces: Terry (Dick) Helf and Pam (Randy) Swensen; nephews: Tim, Todd and Scott (Brenda) Heinzen; grandniece, Kristy Kleinschmidt (daughter Adaleigh); and grandnephew, Brad (Pam) Helf.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr. Margie's family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care in Little Chute for their compassionate care in her final days. Also, a special thank you to neighbors, John and Diane, for watching over Margie for many years.
