Marilyn C. Kuehl, Kimberly, age 86, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born in Kimberly on December 24, 1938, to the late Clarence and Eva (Hock) Vandenberg. Marilyn became a child of God through Holy Baptism and Confirmation at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Kimberly. After high school, she became a private secretary at the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton. That's where she met Orlin Kuehl and they were united in marriage on February 14, 1961. As a loving mother of three, she became a stay-at-home mom.
Marilyn was a volunteer secretary and helper at Mount Calvary School. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and watching sports, Badgers basketball was a favorite. Marilyn had a green thumb for flowers around the house and relaxed with music, especially big band.
After Orlie retired, they spent 17 straight years of going south in the winter in their RV, mostly to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
Marilyn is survived by her sons: Keith (Cindy), Terry, and Layne (Chris); grandchildren: Tyler, Connor (Shelby), Tegan, and Elouise; step grandchildren: Elyssa, Erin and Katie; two great grandchildren; eleven great step grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Marlin (Audrey) Kuehl. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Orlie; step grandson, Tommy Ellsworth; sister, Lois (Claude) Hietpas; and sisters-in-law: Carol (Arden) Toepke and Jorraine (Leland) Goodman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at MOUNT CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH (N8728 Coop Road, Harrison) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Her Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jesse Johnston officiating. Committal Union Cemetery.
