Marie Truyman, Kaukauna, age 90, died at her home Wednesday January 14, 2015. She was born in Kaukauna on August 8, 1924 to the late August and Elizabeth (Nushart) Vils. Marie married Jerome J. Truyman on February 14, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna. They shared 57 years of marriage before his death on September 23, 2007. Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed travelling, spending time up north, and was always concerned about the welfare of others. She treasured times with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her, and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her triplet great grandchildren due in April.

Marie is survived by her daughters: Amy (John) Moore and Jenny (William) Hammen, both of Kaukauna; grandchildren: William (Gretchen) Hammen, Elizabeth (Craig) Smith, Gregory (Avery Lebowitz) Hammen, Ben Moore, Sam (Tracy) Moore, Kendra (Scott) Wegand; great grandchildren: Billy and Lucy Hammen, Carson, Connor and Cole Smith, Keegan and Brayden Moore, Taylor, Maya and Kaylin Wegand; sister: Rose Voigt; and sisters and brother-in-law: Stella Vils, Francis (Laura) Truyman, Lorraine Fuerst and Evelyn Knapp. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Jerome, Marie was preceded in death by her brothers: Joseph, Frank and Richard (Donna) Vils; sisters: Blanche (Clarence) Hansen, Alice Vils and Grace (Vincent) Jansen; and brothers-in-law: Benedict (Geraldine) Truyman, Robert Fuerst and William Knapp.

Visitation will be held Saturday January 17, 2015 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY'S SITE (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Jerry Pastors will officiate. Committal at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Golden Venture, where Marie lived for the last 8 years. Marie enjoyed the friendships that she fostered while living there.
