Lucille M. "Toots" Pennings, Little Chute, age 88, passed away Monday January 21, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in Marinette on June 11, 1924 to the late Charles and Amelia (Revoir) Marquardt. Toots married James Pennings on November 19, 1947 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2000.

Toots was a kind and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, wit and the delicious bread she baked for family and friends. Toots enjoyed going up north, cribbage, crossword puzzles and game shows, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Lucille is survived by her children: Donna (Patrick) De Broux, Grand Chute; Richard, Appleton; Ben (Kay), Little Chute; and Anne (Mike) Junio, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Tom (Deb), Tammy, Dale (Tammy) and David Pennings (special friend Jessica), Nathan Verstegen, Crystal (Craig) Leick, Jay (Sheila) Smith, Laura (Eric) Blemberg, Allie (Drew) Jamison, Alicia (fiance Trevor Neic) De Broux, Brett and Dominic Junio; great grandchildren: Bradley, Ben and Kara Pennings, Zander and Sienna Leick; brothers and sisters: Helen Olson, Evie (Ralph) Verbeten, Dale, "Boots" (Linda), Gary (Mary) Marquardt; and sisters-in-law: Pat and Carol Marquardt. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her infant daughter Rebecca; sons Tom and Jay; brothers and sister: Gordy (Gertie), Dorothy (Joe) Hinkens, "Bud" (Theresa), Norm and Bill; sisters-in-law: Helen and Diane Marquardt; and brother-in-law: "Ole" Olson.

Visitation will be held Friday January 25, 2013 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St., Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
