Obituary

Lucille M. Hietpas, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Combined Locks on Sunday, January 18, 2026, with her family by her side. Lucille was born in the Town of Vandenbroek on April 19,1933, to the late William and Gertrude (Linskens) Ebben. Lucille married the love of her life, Roger Hietpas, on May 20, 1952, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. They spent the next 67 years together, building and enjoying their beautiful life, before his passing in the winter of 2019. Lucille and Roger spent much time at their Clover Leaf Lake cottage, where they especially loved to fish with family and friends. She also enjoyed occasional visits to the casino. Lucille also had a fondness for travel, taking vacation trips until she was 90. Above all, Lucille cherished her family and took great pride in her role as the heart of the home, steering a lively household of ten children.

Lucille is survived by her children: Glenn (Connie) Hietpas, Pamela (Philip) Maturo, Gary Hietpas, Keith (Susan) Hietpas, Lynn Lamers, Kevin (Christine) Hietpas, Lisa (Todd Biesterveld) Hietpas, Carol (Mark) Casler, Timothy (Cathy) Hietpas, and Julie (Gregg) Rogers; her grandchildren: Brian (Jasmine) Hietpas, Jennifer (Chad) Meulemans, Bradley (Kelly) Hietpas, Andrew (Katie) Hietpas, Curtiss (Rebecca) Hietpas, Ross (Leah) Hietpas, Chianna Hietpas, Eric (Stacey Rohloff) Hietpas, Ryan (Danielle) Hietpas, Kayla (Dillon) Peterson, Eric Abresch, Andy Abresch, Jamie (Brad) Vermie, Justin Lamers, Jonathan Lamers, Jaclyn Lamers, Travis (Shana) Hietpas, Zachary (Crissa) Hietpas, Brenton Hietpas, Angela (Jason) Masuga, Alexa Hietpas, Taylor (fiancé Alec Schussman) Hietpas, Emily Rogers, and Brianna Rogers. Lucille is further survived by her 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, as well as her brother, James Ebben, and her siblings-in-law, Marvin (Imelda) Hietpas and Nancy Hietpas, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 67 years, Roger, Lucille is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Cara Hietpas and Troy Kaufman; her daughter-in-law, Christine Hietpas; her parents-in-law, John and Gertrude (Timmers) Hietpas; her siblings, Robert (Gladys) Ebben, Martin (Betty) Ebben, Donald (Dorothy) Ebben; and her siblings-in-law: Marilyn Ebben, Joyce Smith, Melvin (Grace) Hietpas, and Nick Hietpas.

Visitation for Lucille will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at ST. PAUL PARISH (410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks) beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 11:45 a.m.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.

A special thanks goes out to her very good friends, Bruce and Sharon Greasby (and family), Dr. Jennifer Schoening (and her staff), and all the nurses that helped along the way.
