Dolores K. "Lorrie" Wildenberg, Kimberly, age 87, died Thursday, December 26, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Little Chute on February 27, 1937, to the late John H. and Lucina (Hartjes) Johnson. Lorrie married Thomas S. Wildenberg in Kimberly on October 4, 1956. She taught religious education at Holy Name Parish in Kimberly for 16 years, where she was a lifelong member. Lorrie also volunteered in the library at Kimberly's Westside Elementary School for 18 years and enjoyed helping others by delivering Meals on Wheels for several years. She was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers, where she served as Vice President helping to arrange talent presentations, set up bus excursions, and used her substantial artistic skills to illustrate the covers for their annual cookbook. Lorrie enjoyed fall trips with husband Tom to the Driftless Area of Southwest Wisconsin, summer vacations to the Northwoods with family, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorrie's hobbies included reading, sewing, baking, and interior design. Lorrie was a very loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be incredibly missed by her family and friends.
Lorrie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thomas; children: Kim Ann (Michael) Rusch of Winneconne and Mary Elizabeth (Steve) Hooyman of Neenah; grandchildren: Andrew (Eminoni Person) and Jack Rusch, Kelly (Ramon) Garrido-Mateos, and Benjamin (Claudia)Hooyman; great-grandchildren: Luna, Ruby and Helen; and brother-in-law, Robert (Janine) Wildenberg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lorrie was preceded in death by her infant son, Patrick Brian; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Anna Wildenberg; and sister, Joan Conrad and brother-in-law Martin Conrad.
A visitation will be held January 7, 2025, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – KIMBERLY CHURCH (600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly) from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Her funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Committal Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
