Lloyd A. Larsen, of Appleton, formerly of Sheboygan, died Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. He was born in Mountain, WI on March 18, 1934 to the late Alfred and Myrtle (Shier) Larsen. He worked in the foundry for many years. Lloyd was very handy and used his skills to repair automobiles, remodel homes and mobile homes, build sheds, and do cement work. He also volunteered for the Veterans Administration, driving many area veterans to Milwaukee for their health care. Lloyd had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He had the privilege of going on an Honor Flight on May 19, 2024.
Lloyd is survived by his children: Allen (Judy) Larsen of Mosinee; Shirley (Mike) Stelzl of Marathon; David (Sharon) Larsen of Green Bay; Michael (Dawn) Larsen of Appleton; and Bonnie (Randy) Rainville of Schofield; grandchildren: Justin (Melissa) Larsen, Joseph (Natalie) Larsen, Chadwick (Christina) Stelzl, Megan (Joshua) Stanchik, Aaron (Jianna) Stelzl, Andrea Stelzl, Christopher (Melani) Larsen, Vicky (Adam) Baker, Scott Larsen, Jesse (Lindsay) Larsen, Kyle Larsen, Krystle (Bill) Smits, and Sheri (Justin) Socha; great grandchildren: Anna Larsen, Clara Stelzl, Casey Stanchik, Benjamin Stanchik, Hadlee Stelzl, Emersyn Stelzl, Brayden Baker, Claire Larsen, Hudson Larsen, Elsie Smits,, Sienna Smits, Carter Socha, and Adelyn Socha; brother, Leon (Jean) Larsen; and close friends: Patricia Piper, Darcy Vollrath, and Mick Even.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Stelzl; wife, Marita (Reinke) Larsen; the mother of his children, Hulda Hansen; and siblings: Lester Larsen, Lois Carragio, Louis Larsen, Leland Larsen, Luella Friedland, and Lucille Schuettpelz.
A memorial service will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at King at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight of Central Wisconsin.
