Obituary

Linda Mary Bayorgeon

March 19, 1952 – July 3, 2026

Linda Mary Bayorgeon, age 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2026, following a long illness.

Before her illness, Linda cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed walking past the Grignon home with her dog and spending peaceful time up north at the cottage in Townsend, Wisconsin.

Linda will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, gentle spirit, and generous heart. Her love for children and desire to nurture a family led her to adopt four children when she was unable to have children of her own, a reflection of the selfless love that defined her life.

She served the City of Kaukauna for more than 30 years as a crossing guard and spent over 10 years serving lunch in the Kaukauna schools, where her warm smile and caring nature helped keep children safe each day. She also loved dogs and was a member of the Winnebago Dog Club for many years, which inspired her to spend over 10 years training dogs for physically disabled and blind members of the community.

Throughout life’s joys and challenges, she remained devoted to her family and touched many lives with her compassionate heart. Her memory will live on in the stories shared by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie VanDera; father, Andrew VanDera; sister, Darlene McAndrews; and brother-in-law, Mark McAndrews.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall Bayorgeon; four children and their spouses, Sarah (Travis) Robach, Chris (Megan) Bayorgeon, Leah (Johnny) Kang, and Jordan (Bobbi) Bayorgeon; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, siblings and siblings-in-law: Leroy (Judy) VanDera, Gordon (Pam) VanDera, and Patrick (Shirley) Bayorgeon.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at The Gathering Hub in Kimberly, Wisconsin, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and concluding at 7:30 p.m.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassion and support shown during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnebago Dog Club or the Fox Valley Humane Association in Linda’s name.
