Lila Mae Thurner, age 71, passed away peacefully from complications of a stroke on May 4, 2021.  She was born on March 11, 1950 and adopted as an infant by Nicholas and Gladys Thurner.  Lila enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to various places in Wisconsin with Dot, having a couple of Bud Lights, and going out to eat.

Lila is survived by her stepbrother, Orie Milton and his wife, Chris, Sturgeon Bay; stepsister, Dot Van Lith and her husband, Harry, Little Chute; sister-in-law, Debbie Thurner, Texas; nephew, Scott Van Lith and his wife, Bernadette, Greendale; and two nieces:  Jessie Milton, Sturgeon Bay; and Erin Klapatauskas and her husband, Clint, Thorp.  She is further survived by six great nephews:  Wesley, Evan and Nolan Van Lith; and Dane, Cade, and Tate Klapatauskas.

In addition to her parents, Lila was preceded in death by her stepmother, Harriet; brother, David Thurner; and her beloved cat, Sparky.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 4:00 p.m.  The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate.  Committal St. Joseph Cemetery.

Lila called Alten Haus in Fox Crossing home for over six years.  Words cannot express the gratitude we have for Anne and her amazing staff who loved and cared for Lila as if she were one of their own.  Thanks also to Cathy who made many decisions on Lila's behalf over the years and was a tremendous help to us.
