Leona Dorothy Zingler, 101, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Neenah. She was born in Menasha on February 17, 1922, to the late Louis and Sally (Gracyalny) Zielinski. Leona was a lady with many passions. She was an excellent cook, baker, enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, loved going all out and dressing up crazily for parties, and enjoyed her many travels, taking lots of trips. Above all, Leona's family was her world and always cherished time spent together.
Leona is survived by her three daughters: Donna Jean Kaufmann, Mary (Joe) Mares, and Lynn (Rick) Derks; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and her brother, Raymond Zielinski.
In addition to her parents, Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Zingler; her former husband and father of Donna Jean, Charles Kettering; son-in-law, Dick Kaufmann; grandson Christopher Kaufmann; great grandson Kyle Kaufmann; her brothers: Stanley (Della) Zielinski, Edward (Cele) Zielinski, and Sylvester (Mary) Zielinski; and her sisters: Gertrude (Al) Matowitz, Elizabeth (Art) Wagner, Olive (Walter) Remmel, Dorothy (James) Giguere, Marge (Bob) Block; and sister-in-law, Julaine Zielinski.
Visitation for Leona will be held February 17, 2024, at ST. GABRIEL THE ARCHANGEL CATHOLIC CHURCH (900 Geiger Street, Neenah) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
