Leo Lawrence Kempen, Kaukauna, age 87, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020.  He was born on October 8, 1933 to the late Cornelius and Marie (DeBruin) Kempen.  Leo served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954.  He worked at CW Transport for over 30 years before shutting down.  Leo was proud to be a truck driver and won many awards.  He then worked at Crystal Print and Durlam Bemis until retiring at the age of 80 to take care of his wife, who suffered with Alzheimer's for five years.  She preceded him in death on January 20, 2019.  Leo loved being a part of his grandchildren's sporting events.  He loved attending local baseball games and was a big Brewers fan.

Leo was the father of twelve children, seven step children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be missed deeply by his dog Honeybunn and numerous family and friends.

Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; his son, Andrew; and his beloved dog Tootsie.

The family will gather for a private burial at St. John Cemetery in Little Chute.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Glory Honor Flight in Leo's name.
