Laverne Doris (Van Groll) Squier, age 67, of Iron Mountain, MI and Lake Havasu, AZ, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wallie Squier; daughters: Jenny (Janie) Squier, St Louis, MO; and Amy (Tom) Roffers Kaukauna; and grandchildren: Evan, Anna and Spencer Osborn, and Kayla and Dylan Roffers. She is further survived by siblings, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Vern had a vast family and good friends all over the country.

Vern grew up and raised her family in Little Chute, WI until moving to Michigan 20 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Barbara Van Groll; son, Bill; Godparents: Hank and Doris Van Groll; brothers: Dennis and Norb Van Groll.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to benefit the Order of St Francis Hospice.
