Lamont C. "Monty" Wells, Combined Locks, age 70, died Tuesday December 11, 2012 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Moline, IL to the late James and Leanna (Holstlaw) Wells. Monty was an Army veteran. He retired as an industrial electrician from John Deere in Horicon. Monty married Sherry Rieder at Christ the Rock Community Church on December 31, 2000. He enjoyed reading, football, golf, and movies, particularly classics and westerns. His faith was very important to him, whether it was leading or participating in bible study groups. He was a true Christ follower.

Monty was a man with many hats. He was a mentor, teacher, and Mr. Fix It to all who needed him. Monty was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend to all.

Monty is survived by his wife Sherry; daughters: Erica (Shawn) Fogeltanz of Madison and Wendy (Tomas) Sanchez of Neenah; step daughter Amy (Bob) Langenhahn; grandchildren: Ethan and Joseph Fogeltanz and Andrew and Ian Langenhahn; and siblings: Emily (Bill) Raes, Joyce (Larry) McClimans and Virgil Wells. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Please join us in celebrating Monty's life on Sunday December 16, 2012 at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH (W6254 Hwy 10-114 Menasha) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. David Vande Hey will officiate.

Monty's family would like to thank the people at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, the girls on the 7th floor at Appleton Medical Center, and Dr. Guenther and his staff for their exceptional care during the years he battled cancer.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
