Kenneth L. Seidl, Sr., Little Chute, age 72, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born in Appleton on May 18, 1953, to the late Leonard and Katherine (Van Toll) Seidl. Ken married Jean Koester in Kaukauna at the United Methodist Church on August 9, 1975. He spent most of his working years at S.C. Shannons (Nash Finch) and Nestle.
Ken enjoyed puttering in the yard and feeding the birds and rabbits. Together, he and Jean enjoyed many adventures, whether it was trips to the Dells, going to flea markets, or various bus trips. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping on their land in Beecher and in Wisconsin Dells. He loved to fire up the grill and his 8-track player, as well as a good prank.
Family was at the center of his world, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He loved hosting all of the holidays and had special traditions for each one.
Ken is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean; children: Beverly (Richard) Bevers, Kimberly; Becky (Michael) Barrett, Kimberly; and Kenneth Seidl, Jr., Little Chute; grandchildren: Taylor (Kaylyn) Seidl, Isaac Bevers, Aria (Jordan) Kruckeberg, Christian Barrett, Andre (fiancée Irish) Gonzales, Mia Barrett, Maxx Barrett, and Brandon Seidl; great grandchildren: Annalia, Cedric Kenneth, and Luna; siblings: Dennis (Karen) Seidl, Barb (Jim) Reinke, and Debbie (Kevin) Marg; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Loren Madden, Judy Van Krey, Ginger Linzmeier, Ken Koester, Carol (Mark) Matthies, Dick (Cathy) Koester, Don (Debbie) Koester, Betty (Ken) Meulemans, Tom (Rose) Koester, Dianne Gostas, Sue (Mark) Gitz, Howie Koester, Kay (Ed) Fulcer, Dan Koester, and Linda Koester. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Katherine Seidl; stepmother, Charlene Seidl; sister, Lori Madden; father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Thelma Koester; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill Koester, Bobby Koester (infant), Jerry Willems, Joe Van Krey, Dick Linzmeier, Sharon Koester, and Dennis Gostas.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 16, 2026, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. His Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon David Van Eperen officiating. Committal Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
Ken's family would like to give a special thank you to neighbors and good friends, Mike and Ellen Hooyman, for their friendship and help through the years.
