Kenneth E. Sanderfoot, Menasha, age 78, died at his home on Thursday, July 8, 2021, after battling bladder cancer. Born at home in Little Chute to William and Elizabeth (Evers) Sanderfoot on December 19, 1942, Ken attended St. John's Grade School and High school in Little Chute. Ken was joined in marriage to his wife, Norma (Van Heuklon) on April 20, 1968. They had celebrated 53 years of marriage. Ken had worked at Elm Tree Bakery, which later became Rich's Frozen Foods, for more than 37 years until they closed, and then worked another 11 years at the Fleet Farm Distribution Center.
Ken was a quiet man, a hard worker, and devoted to his family. He was always ready to help out with any project. He thoroughly enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife, Norma; his children: Fr. Brian Sanderfoot, Amy (Rick) Barribeau, Julie (Tony) Gilbert, Karen (Joe) Ziegler, and Kevin (Lorie) Sanderfoot.
Grandchildren are Alisha and Mackenzie Gilbert; Mason, Spencer, and Ella Barribeau; Collin (CJ) Ziegler; and Cameron, Molly, and Madelyn Sanderfoot. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Prahl; and in-laws: Marge Van Heuklon, MaryAnn Grassl, Bob (Renae) Van Heuklon, Rick Van Heuklon, Roger (Fiona) Van Heuklon, and Nancy (Gilbert) Young; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his father- and mother-in-law, Norm and Mary Louise (Kufner) Van Heuklon, his brother Raymond (Joan) Sanderfoot, and brothers-in-law Jack Prahl and Ray Grassl. He also welcomed into heaven his recently deceased sister-in-law, Mary "Tick" Van Heuklon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 4:00 p.m. until time of Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC (2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton) on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. offered by his son, Fr. Brian Sanderfoot. Committal St. Joseph Cemetery.
