Bera
April 3, 1936 – July 10, 2022
Katy Bera (Kathleen), of Little Chute, Wisconsin, age 86, passed away peacefully at Country Villa on Sunday, July 10, 2022 with family by her side. On April 3, 1936, she was born to Henry and Gladys Savina (Hruska), in Deerbrook, Wisconsin. In 1954, Katy was united in marriage to Raymond (Yogi) Bera and relocated from Antigo, Wisconsin to Little Chute. Together they shared five children. Raymond preceded Katy in death in 1988.
Katy and Ray's 2 nd child, Stevie, passed away at the age of five after he was diagnosed with leukemia.
Katy enjoyed grandkids, grandkids sports, outdoors, animals, gardening and many fun times with family and friends. While the children where school age Katy was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting each holiday which involved decorating the home along with the children. As a side job Katy worked at Bridgeway Drive In, Little Chute. Many fun stories follow her with that job! Katy went on to work at Kaukauna Club which made a new list of friends and stories! After retirement she spent most of her time feeding anyone or anything that walked by the house or came into the yard. She felt lucky to stay in her home until her passing.
Katy is survived by her children: Randi (Don) Bera Karner of Kaukauna; Scott (special friend Candace) of Florida; Doug (Cathy) of Arizona; and Barb (Dave) Van Dam of Oshkosh; HER LOVING CAT PRINCESS\KITTY; grandchildren: Dusten (Special friend Sarah) Zimmerman of California; Dillon (fiancée Jess) of Chicago; Devin of Arizona; Holly (special friend Ryan) Van Dam of Green Bay; and Amanda (special friend Josh) Van Dam of Oshkosh; sister, Paula Smith of Hortonville; sisters-in-law: Rita Bera of Greenville and Bev Bera of Florida; brother-in-law, James Hering of Sheboygan; and special friends: Carrie, Jo, Lynn, Julie, Kara, Ray Ray, Crash, Joyce, Kay, Nancy, Joan, Mary, Bob and many more. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband, and son, Katy was proceeded in death by sisters: Rita (Jack) Marckx, Ruth (Jack)Bolen, and Audrey Hering; and brother, Al (Jean) Savina.

Thanks to Country Villa, Freedom Wi for helping mom in her last days. The staff made mom feel at home and she loved the food which everyone knows that was important to her.
