Kathleen "Kathy" Rapp, Menasha, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 9, 1940 to the late Marvin Hugo Kelling and Elsie Linman Kelling. Kathy married Ozzie (Jack) Rapp on June 30, 1962. She graduated from Deaconess Nursing School in Milwaukee and enjoyed being an RN, prior to starting her family. In 1980, she opened Phopar Photo Lab with her husband and worked in the business until it closed in 2006.
Kathy was the love of Ozzie's life and an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or other holiday. You could always count on that card or letter that she would send to show that she cared and was thinking of you. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. She looked forward to every summer in Waupaca where they would all meet to enjoy a couple of weeks on the lake. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would work endlessly baking and preparing. Friends and family were the lucky recipients of the fruits of her baking - plates overflowing with dozens of different types of Christmas cookies.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Ozzie; her daughters: Colleen (Tony) Mauthe of Appleton, Cindy (Grant) Hitchens of Downingtown, PA and Christine (Don) Gruendemann of West Bend, WI; her son John (Debbie) Rapp of Green Bay, WI; and her grandchildren: Zachary, Samuel and Gabriel Mauthe, Grace and Nathan Hitchens, Spencer and Stella Gruendemann, and Meagan and Olivia Rapp. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Lynn (David) Stanton; nephews, godchildren and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Marvin, Jeffrey and John Kelling.
We will celebrate Kathleen's life with visitation starting at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 followed by a funeral at 2:00 pm at PATHWAYS CHURCH (311 West Evergreen Drive, Appleton). Committal service will take place Friday, October 14th at 10:30 am at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield.
A memorial fund is being established.
