Kathleen H.
Besaw
April 10, 1945 – November 9, 2023
Kathleen H. Besaw, Appleton, age 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her home. She was born April 10, 1945 to the late Robert and Ella (Beschta) Griesbach. Kathy was united in marriage to Doug Besaw on May 18, 1968 at SS Peter and Paul Parish. They were able to spend 55 wonderful years together before The Lord called her home. Before retiring in 2007, Kathy worked in the Hortonville School District for 30 years. After retirement, she loved spending time with her husband and family. Kathy was an outstanding cook who never let you leave the house hungry. While she enjoyed playing Sheepshead with her brothers and sisters, Kathy was always up for a competitive game of Dominos and Phase 10 with Doug, her kids and her grandkids. She volunteered at church when needed and was an avid Brett Favre fan. She will be forever missed.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Doug; children: Jill (Scott) Williams, Appleton; Kip (Cecilia) Besaw, Hortonville; and Paula (Todd) Van Asten, Appleton; grandchildren: Hali (Winston) Douglass, Dustin and Kyra Peterson; Allison, Zachary, Anthony, and Jordan Besaw; Sydney, Isabelle, and Ivy Van Asten; sister, Lois Buchman; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Duaine (Linda) Besaw, Shirley (Bill) Sennett, Denny (Donna) Besaw, Dana Besaw, Lynn Slosarek, Dale Besaw, and Shelly (Doug) Pagel.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Scott Peterson; siblings: Bobby Griesbach, LeRoy (Joyce) Griesbach, and June (Jerry) Glaser; and in-laws: Kenny Buchman and Nancy Besaw.
