Karen L. Bissonnette, Chilton, age 67, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with her children and special friend Jim Jaeger by her side. She was born in Chilton on December 9, 1948 to the late Herbert and Doris (Baier) Behnke. Karen retired from Valley Packaging where she worked as a rehabilitation counselor. She was a very talented crafter and loved to quilt, knit and crochet. Karen enjoyed trips to the casino and always had more luck than her companions.
Karen is survived by her sons: Craig (Wendy) Jaeger of Zephyrhills, FL and Marc (special friend Nathan Markham) Jaeger of Pensacola, FL; daughter: Becky (Chris) Abel of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Austin (fiancée Hailey), Riley and Alisha Abel; great grandchildren: McKenzie, Aden and Nivaha; sisters: Susan (Ron) Kleinhans, Sally (Blain) Keuer, Patsy (Dan) Geiger and Peggy Shamburek; and brother: Randy Behnke. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bissonnette; and brother-in-law: Ronald Shamburek.
In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date.
Karen's children would like to send a special thank you to her extended family: Christy Stumpf, Wendy VerVoort, Chad, Eric and Holly Jaeger as well as the Oncology staff at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology and St. Elizabeth Hospital.
