Obituary

Judy (Julia) Schuh, age 87, of Kaukauna, passed away at Brewster Village on February 17, 2017. She was born on August 9, 1929 in Little Chute, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Henry M. and Nettie (DeBruin) Coenen. She graduated from St. John High School in Little Chute, and then was employed at a law office and HC Prange Co. in Appleton. She married James F. Schuh on October 15, 1949 at St. John's Church in Little Chute, and they shared 67 years together while raising seven children.  Volunteering played a large part in her life - at the school, church, visiting the elderly, and at the food pantry in Little Chute.  She also enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles, and shopping.  She was considered by her family as the "Coupon Queen."

Julia is survived by her husband, James F. Schuh, Kaukauna; five children: Gary Schuh, William (Mary Jo) Schuh, James M. (Yvonne "Buff") Schuh, all of Kaukauna; Mike (Cheryl) Schuh of Appleton; Jeff (Lynn) Schuh of Mackville;  sons-in-law:  Charlie Janssen of Appleton, and Terry Schuh of Freedom; 18 grandchildren: Brian Janssen, Amanda (John) Borleske, Tim (Brenda) Schuh, Sarah (Niels) Quist, Jenny Schuh, Bill (Kari) Schuh, Dan (Alissa) Schuh, Chris (Josh) Minzlaff, Kevin (Krystal) Schuh, Chad (Alison) Schuh, Tammy (Brian) Renaud, Stephanie (Joe) McHugh, Todd Schuh, Kerri Schuh, Kayla Schuh, Leigh (Brett) Bogenschutz, Kelly Schuh, and Eric Schuh; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: Robert (Aurella) Coenen and Shirley Carlson;  sister-in-law: Rita Tessen; brothers-in-law: Ted Schuh, Joe Smet and Jerry Smith; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cherished daughters: Karen Janssen and Sue Schuh; sisters: Lois (David) Pomeroy, Sharon (Tom) Belling and Gloria Coenen; and in-laws: Norm Carlson, Lee Tessen, Virginia (Joe) Martin, Richard (Betty) Schuh, Cecilia Smet, Delores Smith, Harry (Pat) Schuh and Shirley Schuh.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. Committal St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
