Judith A. Reffke, Kimberly, age 82, died Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Cherry Meadows. She was born in Kaukauna on January 12, 1942 to the late Cornelius and Josephine (Heinz) Jansen. On February 4, 1961, Judy married Robert Reffke at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She loved camping with family and friends and, as the camp cook, prepared delicious meals for them over the wood fire. Judy was an avid Wisconsin sports fans and loved rooting for the home teams. She also loved to play cribbage and hosted many family cribbage tournaments.
The two most important things in Judy's life were her faith and her family. Judy prayed the rosary regularly and took it very hard when she couldn't attend Mass anymore. She treasured her family and the time she spent with them.
Judy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert; children: Dan (Carol) Reffke of Kaukauna; Wendy (Dale) Bougie of Freedom; Bruce (Molly) Reffke of Freedom; and Todd (special friend Kim Wendling) Reffke of Freedom; grandchildren: Jeremiah (Becca) and Tyler (Katie) Reffke; Whitney (Jake) Kittredge and Cassie (Zach) Genke; Adam (Jazmine) and Zoey (fiancé Tyler Phillips) Reffke; Crystal (special friend Joe Sager), Weston, and Riley Reffke; great grandchildren: Brynn, Rylan, Hayes, Lincoln, and Colton; Charlie, Nathan, and Lyla; Weston, James, and Brayden; Bon and Dane; siblings: Tom (Ann) Jansen, Kay (Jay) Lamers, and Sue (Jim) Hermans; brothers and sisters-in-law: Sharon Jansen, Carolyn Braun, Bill Reffke, and Keith (Jan) Reffke; and best friend, Bev Rupiper. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, William and Winifred (Peebles) Reffke; brother, Jack Jansen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Wally Braun, Jane Reffke, Ruth Ann (Rollie) Mosher, and Lee James Reffke.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating. Committal St. John Cemetery.
Judy's family would like to thank the entire staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her last days.
