Joan A. "Joni" Hietpas went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 23, 2021.  She was born December 23, 1946, the only child of James and Marie Hietpas.  Joan was a member of Appleton Alliance Church for many years.

Joni is survived by her son, Lance (Andrea) Hietpas of Kimberly; daughter, Nicki Butzlaff of Neenah; and granddaughters, Ayva and Onyx.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 4:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.  Committal St. Joseph Cemetery.

Joni would like to thank Carolina Assisted Living in Appleton for the wonderful care the staff gave her; Bob and Vicki Hermans for being there when she needed them; Betty Ludwig for the use of her car; her special friend and shopping buddy, Linda Yost; Tom Manske for taking Joni to her appointments and never saying no; Bonnie Manske, her best friend and lifeline; and her son, Lance, who took such good care of his mom.

Now Joni can drive her yellow Beetle Bug with the sunroof open, playing 60's music, right into the gates of heaven with her dog Boo sitting right next to her.
