Dr. John Justin Fleming, Little Chute, age 66, died Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was born on September 27, 1946 in Hazel Green, WI to the late James and Mary (Meloy) Fleming. John attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1970. John served in the U.S. Army on Okinawa from 1970-1973. He married Barbara Hoffman on May 24, 1969 at St Mary's Church, Elm Grove, WI. John practiced dentistry in Kaukauna, retiring in 1995. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed backpacking, fishing, biking, and camping. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara; children: Mark (Kristine) of Madison; Paul of Statesboro, GA; and David of Greenville, SC; grandchildren: Grace, Alex, and Miles; sisters: Jane (Tom) Cane, Ann (Bill) Kostolni and Joan (Gabe) Felipe; and sister-in-law Sue Michalski. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother Pat; and brothers-in-law: Mack (Maggie) and Peter Paul (Mary) Hoffman.

John received a liver transplant in 1995, and his family is forever grateful for this gift of life.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Military rites conducted by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 will immediately follow. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery, Benton, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to benefit the St. John Athletic Association and LEAVEN.
