Joel Edward Quella, Sherwood, age 36, died Thursday, April 30, 2026, of stage 4 melanoma. He was born on February 26, 1990, the son of Ken and Carolyne (Harcus) Quella. Joel worked as a Rural Mail Carrier in Hortonville. He was a strong, quiet and compassionate presence in our daily lives and will be missed beyond comprehension. Joel was an accomplished chef and baker who loved making Sunday dinner for his family.

Joel is survived by his parents, Ken and Carolyne; brothers: Keith (Sam), Bill (Karla), Luke (Abbie), and Ben (Talia); and sister, Anne Casey. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at ST. JOHN-SACRED HEART PARISH (N369 Military Road, Sherwood) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Wisconsin Public Radio, he was a strong supporter and it was the only station he listened to.
