Joan H. Jaeckels, Kaukauna, age 86, died at St. Paul Home on Thursday, May 27, 2021.  She was born on August 17, 1934 to the late Albert and Josephine (Eppinger) Kersten.  Joan married James Jaeckels at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Kaukauna on October 13, 1956.  He preceded her in death in 2001.  Joan enjoyed bowling, swimming, and camping with her family.  She loved attending the sporting events of her grandchildren as well as watching and attending Packer games.  Joan also loved and looked forward to having lunch with her friends.  Through the years, she worked in the deli at the Piggly Wiggly and at Pechman Professional Imaging.

Joan is survived by her children:  Jeff, Kaukauna; Sue (fiancé Jon Klein) Monnot, Tigerton; Ken, Kaukauna; and Lisa (fiancé Brian Johnson) Krol, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Joe and Kyle Derus, Michael and Hailey Krol; great grandchildren:  Lucas and Vannesa; sisters:  Charlotte (Adolph) Bloy, Marion Zwick; brothers: Bob (Mary), Ray, and Mike (Carrie) Kersten; and brothers and sisters-in-law:  Betty Lange, David (Linda) Haen, Ron Haen, and Betty Haen.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, James, Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jaeckels; siblings:  Nancy (Clarence) Bowers, Betty Kersten and infant brother Albert Kersten, Jr.; and sister and brother-in-law:  Bonnie Kersten and Vic Lange.
