Joan Mary (Tillman) Heinzen, age 93, of Kaukauna, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, with her family by her side.   She was born on May 18, 1928, to the late Killian P. and Henrietta B. (Simons) Tillman in Appleton, WI. Joan married Roy A. Heinzen in Appleton in April of 1952; together they raised five children.

She loved her flower gardens and time spent with family.  Joan and Roy enjoyed camping in Door County, including biking and sitting around campfires with the many friends they made during their numerous trips.

Survivors include her three sons: Tim Heinzen, Todd Heinzen, and Scott (Brenda) Heinzen; two daughters: Terry (Dick) Helf and Pam (Randy) Swensen; grandchildren: Kristy (Chris) Alba and Brad (Pam) Helf; and great grandchildren: Adaleigh Kleinschmidt, Avery and Lina Alba.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Roy; and sister and brother-in-law, Margorie and Emil Koglin.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 ^th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.  The Rev. David McElroy will officiate.  Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
