Jean (Gene) Heintz. 69, Little Chute died Saturday December 24, 2011 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on February 21, 1942 to the late Lester and Gladys (Myno) Heintz. Jean graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1960 and Oshkosh Technical College in 1962. Jean married Alice Bricco on June 2, 1973 at St. Bernard Parish in Appleton. He served in the National Guard. Jean worked as an accountant at Tom Van Handel Co. He was a diehard Yankee fan and also enjoyed the Packers and working in his yard. Jean treasured his grandchildren, Logan and Olivia.
Jean is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alice; children: Amy (John) Schuler of Sussex and Brian of Little Chute; grandchildren: Logan Heintz and Olivia Schuler; sister and brother: Jacquelyn Pytel and Jerry (Dorothy) Heintz; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Shirley), Patrick, James, David (Barb), Ward and Tom (Marjean) Bricco, Mary (Chuck) Tyvol and Carol (Keith) Bauman. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jean was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: Lester and Helen Bricco; brothers-in-law: Michael Pytel, Ted, Jack and Joseph (Delores) Bricco; and nephew Mike Pytel.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 27, 2011 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. James Hablewitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
Jean's family would like to thank the staff at Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Leslie, Erin, Jill and Ida, for the compassionate care given to him.
