Janice M. Stanley, Appleton, age 79, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Edenbrook of Appleton.  She was born in Little Chute on February 20, 1942 to the late Lloyd "Porky" and Stella (Romensko) Sanders.  Jan married Edward Stanley on June 23, 1962 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2012.  In her younger years, Jan enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, and fishing.  In her later years, she enjoyed ice cream and a good nap.  She loved Christmas and always had to have the biggest tree they could find.  Once the tree was in place, Jan decorated it with ornaments she made herself.

Jan is survived by her children:  Brenda (Rick) Austin and Scott (Diane) Stanley, of Crooked Lake; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings:  Don (Linda) Sanders and Dotty (Gary) Reybrock; and brothers and sisters-in-law:  Coreen Sanders, Gerald Wouters, Joe (Leanne) Stanley, and Les (Althea) Stanley.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ed, Jan was preceded in death by her siblings:  Carl Sanders and Diane Wouters; and close aunt, Catherine Romenesko.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral at 1:30 p.m. with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.  Committal St. John Cemetery.
