April 4, 1943 – August 29, 2023
Janet E. Jury, Little Chute, age 80, died at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born in Kaukauna on April 4, 1943 to the late Joseph and Cedonia (Hannemann) Munes. On June 26, 1965, Janet married Tim Jury at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Kaukauna. She was a people person and lived to make others happy. Her family was her world and she never hesitated to drop everything whenever anyone needed her. Janet was very active in her church, school, and community. She volunteered as a Befriender and took the Eucharist to the sick and homebound. Janet often sat at the bedside of the sick and dying, offering her companionship and prayers. She considered her grandchildren her greatest treasure.
Janet is survived by her children: Martin (Sue) Jury, Little Chute; Tom (Lisa) Jury, Wildwood, MO; and Ann (Steve) Gorski, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Maggie and Beth Jury, Maya and Owen Jury, Matthew and Emma Gorski; siblings: Bob (Marilyn) Munes, Kaukauna; Reg (Char) Munes, Kaukauna; and Jim (Deb) Munes, Wrightstown; and sisters-in-law: Kim Munes and Joyce Munes, both of Kaukauna. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Tim, Janet was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Martin and Adeline Jury; siblings: Eugene (Florence) Munes, Melvin Munes, Shirley (Louie) Zierler, and Mike Munes; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Nona (Joe) Kappell, Bonnie (Robert) Benson, Patrick Jury, Susie (Gene) Hietpas, Mary Jury, and Dan (Judy) Jury.
