James John Knabenbauer, age 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, September 24, 2020. James was born on August 25, 1942, the son of Jerome and Lucille Knabenbauer. He is survived by his three sons: Kevin (Lisa) Knabenbauer, Todd (Patti) Knabenbauer, and Kris (Margie Bush) Knabenbauer; his five grandchildren: Andrew, Alyssa and Elliot Knabenbauer, Zachary and Seth Holshuer; and his longtime girlfriend, Susan Heil and family.

James is also survived by brothers and sister: Ronald (Pat) Knabenbauer, Michael Knabenbauer, Alan Knabenbauer, Steven Knabenbauer, and Sandra (Jim) Maynard.

James is preceded in death by Linda Knabenbauer (wife), Jerome and Lucille Knabenbauer (mother and father), and Elizabeth Gruse (sister).

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and NASCAR.  He also enjoyed grilling and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a longtime employee of Neenah Menasha Sewage Commission, and retired from Midwest Contract Operations (MCO).

A private service will be held due to Covid.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum at Greenlawn Cemetery in Neenah.
