Jacoba "Toos" Timmers, Darboy, age 89, died unexpectedly after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  She was born in Zeeland, The Netherlands on July 26, 1931 to the late Johannes and Maria Willems van Dijk.  Toos married Ted Timmers on May 1, 1956 at St. Francis Parish in Askeaton.  She enjoyed needlepoint and cooking and loved to garden.  Toos was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Darboy where she sang in the Angel Choir and volunteered in many church and school functions.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and kids, especially to visit family members.

Toos is survived by her daughters:  Mary Jo (John) Kuzma of Milwaukee and Christine Timmers of Appleton; sister, Riet van Dongen; and sisters-in-law:  Tonnie Linders, Mien Timmers, Jo and Gerda Willems van Dijk.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Toos was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; sister, Johanna Spanjers; brothers:  Gerrit, Albert, and Wim Willems van Dijk; brothers-in-law; and members of Ted's family.

Visitation will be held December 29, 2020 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – DARBOY CHURCH (W2796 Highway KK, Appleton) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.  The Rev. Carl Schmitt will officiate.  Committal will follow in the church cemetery.
