John P. "Jack" Vanderloop, Kaukauna, age 82, passed away July 31, 2020. Jack was the oldest child of the late Henry and Dorothy (McCabe) VanderLoop.  He married his high school sweetheart, Angela Hennes in 1958. Thilmany was his employer for 37 years, where he worked his way from machine tender to superintendent.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Pat (John) Hartl, his mother- and father-law: Gert and Leo Hennes and a son-in-law: Dale Hoopingarner.

He is survived by his wife and four children: Bill, Carol Hoopingarner, Dave (Kelly), and Connie (Fred) Kuhnke. He has eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Jack is also survived by seven brothers: Joe (Rose), Dick (Jan), Gary (Mary), Tim (Bonnie), Mike (Janet), Tom (Angie), and Jim (Sherrie). He also has four living sisters: Betty (Russ) Natrop, Ann (Bob) Swaningson, Judy (Norman) Schley, and Peggy (Nick) Popp.

Hunting and fishing were Jack's passions as a young man. All shotgun sports were on his high priority list also. He shot sporting clays, skeet and trap. Jack and Angela enjoyed many years of traveling and shooting trap after retirement. Like most Wisconsinites, Jack seldom missed a game of Brewer baseball, Packer football, and Badger football and basketball.

We are celebrating Jack's life and his love for the outdoors the way he would want us to: An outdoor gathering at his daughter Connie's house on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. Simple directions: Take 41 south to 45 north in Oshkosh, go about ½ mile and exit on Ryf Road, turn left at top of exit then right on County S, about ¼ mile to 4357. Plenty of parking.
