Ivo J. Haen, Hollandtown, Kaukauna, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, age 86, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born on February 12, 1930 to the late Henry and Gertrude (Bruecker) Haen in Hollandtown. Ivo married the former Carol Van Dyn Hoven at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on April 7, 1951. He spent most of his life as a farmer and was also a truck driver for C-W Transport for 23 years. Ivo enjoyed vacationing in Arizona and Crivitz. He loved life and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Ivo is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol; children: Mary (Jerry Higgens) Jenkins of York, PA; Tom (Lisa) Haen of Green Bay; Mike (Peggy) Haen of Iron Mountain, MI; Lori (Pat) Gast of Hilbert; Lois (Kevin) Plate of Hilbert; Ann Haen of Kaukauna; Dan (Lynn) Haen of Kaukauna; and Lisa (Doug) Stecker of Hilbert; grandchildren: Adam (Becky) Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Sara (Andy) Sokol, Jesse (Jessi Dilley) Haen, Jamie Stock, Nick (Stephanie) Haen, Josh (Calleen Greever) Haen, Stacie (Ben) Franezek, Kelly (Cody) Johnson, Jessie (Mike Zirbel) Gast, Jason (Kaylyn) Plate, Craig (Stacie) Plate, Tyler Plate, Heather (George) Hopfensperger, Zachary (Sally) Haen, Skylar (Leah Christensen) Stecker, Whitney (Nick) Ziegler, Ashley (Tyler) Van Dyn Hoven, Travis (Maggie) Haen, Dominic (Morgan Helms) Haen, Amber Haen and Sierra Higgins; 21 great grandchildren; sister: Sr. Ann Joachim; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bernice Haen, Clyde (Jackie) Van Dyn Hoven and Gene Vande Hey; and good friends, Rusty and Sally Rusniak. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ivo was preceded in death by his son, Mark; grandson, Nathan Jenkins; brothers: Ray, Jerome (Mert), Eugene and Ken (Joan) Haen; sisters: Sal (Earl) Fink and Sr. St. Barbara; and sisters and brothers-in-law: La Vern (Dick) Hoks, Alice (Don) Mignon, Audrey (George) Rooyakkers and Virginia "Skippy" Vande Hey.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. FRANCIS CHURCH (433 County Road CE, Kaukauna) beginning at 1:30 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:30 p.m. The Rev. Willard Vande Loo will officiate. Committal St. Francis Cemetery, Hollandtown. A memorial is being established.
