Obituary

Isabelle Ann "Isie" Winius, Kimberly, WI age 93, was reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Harry, on Tuesday 12-7-21. Born in Appleton, WI to the late Christopher and Rose (Weyenberg) Vanden Heuvel, Isie grew up on the family farm with her three siblings. Lucy, Don, and Joyce. Isie married Harold "Harry" Winius on July 24, 1948 at St. Therese Parish in Appleton. After building their home in Kimberly together, Isie had 4 children and was a dedicated Mom and homemaker. Isie was very organized and her Dutch background provided a good base to manage the household and budget. An excellent home baker, she frequently left home with a tray of her Cinnamon Rolls to share. Together she and Harry saved for their annual summer vacations in Northern Wisconsin. Many were spent in Eagle River at Meyer's Pine Crest Resort on Seven Mile Lake. These vacations included Isie's siblings and their many children as well as other family friends. All those cousins and friends created priceless memories the family continues to share to this day. They also enjoyed many years at their cottage on Lake Noquebay in Crivitz, WI, fishing, golfing and entertaining friends and family.

Isie volunteered at St. Elizabeth's Hospital once a week for 50 years as a "Pink Lady" washing and setting patient's hair. She also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul's every Monday with Harry and other friends for many years. Isie liked to fish, golf, play cards and travel with their group of close friends. She went on many trips to Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota, Oregon and Northern Wisconsin throughout her life which provided great memories that she fondly shared with us all.

Isie is survived by her children: Michael (Karen) Appleton, WI; Steve (Diane Brickler), Muskego, WI; Patty (John) Renquist, Salem, OR; and Mary (the late Kevin ) Hawley, Appleton, WI; grandchildren: Michael (Traci) Winius, Michelle (Jason) Sagorac, Kara (Jim) Nikodem, Rachel (Tyler) Yauda, Alison (Dave) Kotecki, John Winius (Brandi Taylor-Zelinski), Brett Renquist (Jessica Chen), Elly (Vern) Hixon, Erin (Tony) Lindberg, and Rebecca Paulson; great grandchildren: Mitchell (Jamie), Kellen, Jacob (Breleigh Billman), Lauryn, Rya, Landen N., Landon L., Laine, Rose, Benjamin, Nash and TJ; sister, Lucy (the late Ken) Lang; brother, Don (the late Janet) Vanden Heuvel; in-laws: Alice (the late John) Hermus, Terry (the late Joe) Winius, Lester (the late Pat) Winius, and Henry (Claire) Winius. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Isie was preceded in death by Harry's parents, Henry and Bertha Winius; her sister Joyce (the late John) Meyer, in-laws, William and Pearle Winius, Ray and Elaine Winius, Albert Winius, Agnes and Len Sporakowski, Alma and Gilbert Dorschner, Paul and Ann Dercks, Joe and Martha Haupt, and Bob and Harriet Masch.
