Obituary

Irene E. Sibilsky, 67, of Kaukauna, WI, set sail on her journey to Heaven, April 22nd, 2015. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. Irene was born on September 27th, 1947 in Two Rivers, WI, to the late Elmer and Ethel (Howard) LeClair. She married Michael J. Sibilsky on November 18th, 1972 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers, WI. Mike preceded her death on September 22nd, 2009.

Irene was a Speech and Language Pathologist for most of her career at the Valders, Reedsville,Stockbridge and Kewaunee school system. Her desire to help others didn't end with her retirement, and Irene continued employment with Kobussen Buses as a Paratransit Driver. In the 90s, Irene did volunteer work and drove a tour bus all over the country for the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps. Most recently, she volunteered to help take care of people in need at Appleton Medical Center and St. Elizabeth's oncology center. She was the definition of selfless, and would always find ways to help and comfort others despite her own needs and troubles.

On top of being the best Mother anyone could ever ask for, Irene was very creative, funny, enjoyed bird watching, loved the lake and ocean, music, reading and spending time in her garden. She was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and even attended the Ice Bowl with her Mother in skirts!

Irene loved to make people smile, welcomed all walks of life, was extremely proud of her children and family, and found great happiness in the joy of those around her. Many of those who met Irene considered her their other Mom.

She is survived by her children, Aaron (Cayla Leahy) of Angelica and Rebecca (Thomas Townsend) of Columbus; sisters Harriet Boettcher, Susan Risch and Polly (Randy) Ehler; and brother-in-law, Robert Pagel. Irene is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as her beloved cat, Tater.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her infant son, Edward Joseph, brother-in-law Jim Boettcher, and sister-in-law Jane Pagel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E Main St, Little Chute, WI) from 9:30a.m. to the time of funeral service at 12:00p.m.
