Obituary

Helen Louise Wells, age 81, Kimberly, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was born on January 17, 1935, in Norway, Michigan, the daughter of Sidney and Sofia Andrews. Helen married Raymond Wells on July 23, 1960, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Hermansville, MI. She graduated from Powers-Spalding High School in 1953 and from Northern Michigan University in 1957 majoring in Home Economics and minoring in Art and Psychology. Helen began her teaching career at McKinley Jr. High School in Racine. She then taught at Powers Spalding High School, Appleton West and Wrightstown before finishing her career at Little Chute High School where she taught for 26 years. Helen enjoyed cooking for family and friends, knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, and genealogy.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ray; 3 children: Marylin (friend Mark) Sanderfoot, John (Diane) Wells, Jay (Kay) Wells; 2 brothers: Bruce (Stella) Andrews, John (Mary Ann) Andrews; 4 brothers-in-law: William (Jeanette) Wells, Thomas (Elinor) Wells, Richard (Judy) Wells, Jerry (Dawn) Wells; 2 sisters-in-law: Mary (Richard) Piche and Dawn Wells; 7 grandchildren: Tara Sanderfoot, Kara Sanderfoot, Molly Hendricks, Ross (Kayla) Wells, Jamison (Stephanie) Wells, Matthew Wells, Daniel (fiancé Brooke) Wells; 3 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way: Peyton Sanderfoot, Raymond Martin, Rhett Wells; special cousin, Judy McCoy; and many other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marilyn; father and mother-in-law, Wallace and Delia Wells; brother-in-law, Daniel Wells.

Helen's funeral will be held in April. Details will be announced the week following Easter.

Helen's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Kaukauna Dialysis Staff for their professionalism and the care given to Helen over the years. Special thanks also to the staff at Hospice at Cherry Meadows.
