Helen R. Jansch, Kaukauna, age 97, died peacefully in her sleep to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton on October 27, 2021.  She was born in Appleton on August 25, 1924 to the late Anton and Charlotte (Young) Roehl.  Helen graduated from St. Joseph Grade School and Appleton High School.  As a child, she picked berries for a nickel a basket.  She then worked at Tuttle Press, as well as at a bobby pin factory, and at a powdered ice cream factory before staying home to raise her children.  Later in life she worked for the Stockbridge private and public schools where she developed many new friendships.

Helen is survived by five sons:  Steven (Annette) of Kaukauna; James (special friend Katherine) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; David (Jane) Jansch of Stevens Point; Anthony (Jackie) of Kaukauna; and Michael of Kaukauna; three daughters:  Theresa Baker of Kaukauna; Catherine Jansch of Kaukauna; and Christine Jansch of Kaukauna; three grandchildren:  Amanda (fiancé Mike) Jansch of Kimberly; Hannah Jansch of Wauwatosa; and Ethan Jansch of Stevens Point; one great grandchild, Brooklynn Sattergren; niece, Patricia Sutheimer; numerous great nieces and nephews; and many friends, especially her card club friends Vi, Vonnie and Shirley.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward; brothers:  Arthur and Robert (Jeannette) Roehl; sister, Jeannette (Hank) Seidl; and niece, Rita Peotter.

Visitation for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 ^th Street, Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Donald Everts will officiate.  Committal St. Joseph Cemetery.

A special thank you to her three children Mike, Chris, Kate who took care of her, and made it possible for her to live at home until the last week of her life.
