Helen Minnie "Granny" Forrest, Janesville, age 91, died Monday February 25, 2013 in Neenah at Matthews Senior Living surrounded by her family. She was born on July 14, 1921 to the late Otto and Mary Hemiller in Apple River, IL. Helen married Charles P. Howard in Darlington WI on January 16, 1937. She then married William H. Forrest on November 28, 1969 in Janesville. Helen was employed at F. W. Woolworth and was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by her grandchildren: Pam (Greg) Hurst, Sandi (Jeff) Mitchler, Randy (Lynn) Wenham, Amy Effa, Wendy Kuehne, Deb (Stan) Luety, Diane Mecca, Dawn (Mike) Banker and Chris Howard; son-in-law Ron Wenham; 23 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; and special niece Mary Kettle.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her children: Robert Howard and Nancy Wenham; her granddaughter's husband Dean Effa; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 2, 2013 at CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (2000 Wesley Ave. Janesville) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Forrest Wells will officiate. Committal Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville.
