Gregory G. Deering, Kaukauna, age 63, died Friday, April 29, 2022 with his wife at his side, after a 1½ year battle with Sarcoma Cancer.  He was born in Kaukauna on April 15, 1959, the son of Robert and Patricia (Ambrosius) Deering.  Greg and Cher (Diedrich) met in kindergarten and were high school sweethearts, later to be married on October 7th, 1983 at Holy Cross in Kaukauna. After graduating from Kaukauna High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from UW Eau Claire and continued his education in receiving his Master's in Business from Cardinal Stritch University. He owned and operated Poweramp Equipment from 2003 until he retired in 2019, where he was fortunate enough to work with all four sons. Greg also enjoyed coaching his sons in various sports for many years. He was very proud of his family. Greg was very determined and ran many marathons, competed in cross country skiing events and was an avid golfer. Greg and Cher enjoyed traveling and created many memories with friends.  He owned a cabin in Mountain, WI, where he loved spending time in the woods with his dog Maple, sitting by the fire, renovating the cabin, making Maple Syrup, hunting, and woodworking. Most of all…Greg enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, friends, and his dog Maple. He was truly known as a genuine and kind soul.

Greg is survived by his wife, Cher; sons:  Tyler, Troy (Lindsay Horan), Tanner (Rhianna), and Trent (Jordan Vande Yacht) Deering, all of Kaukauna; mother, Pat Deering, of Kaukauna; siblings:  Dave (Deb) Deering, Dan Deering (Beth Friedl), Tom (Sue) Deering, Dianne (Rick) Anton, and Linda (Ted) Burbach; mother-in-law, Joan Geurts; father-in-law, Matt (Linda) Diedrich; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Terry Diedrich, Cindy (Keith) Gonnering, and Greg Diedrich; nieces and nephews:  Kasey and Kelly Deering, Matt (Sarah) and Nick (Sarah) Deering, Bob (Laura) and Ben (Becky) Deering, Aly and Ryan Anton, Joe, Brad, and Alex Burbach, Maria, Lizzy, and Stephanie Gonnering.  He is further survived by his dog and sidekick Maple, granddog Hank, other relatives, and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Robert Deering; and stepfather-in-law, Lefty Geurts.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating.  Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
