Obituary

Grace Witten Brown of Highland Park, Illinois and Neenah, Wisconsin was born on July 12, 1916.

Grace thanks the Lord for all His blessings and for a wonderful life.

For her grandparents: William and Nellie Witten and Thomas and Bridgett Green

For her parents: William Harvey and Frances Witten for a wonderful childhood.
For her brothers : Jack and Jim for their love and support for all these years.

For her husband of 47 years: Edward Joseph Brown Jr. For sharing life's ups and downs and for our many blessings.

WE THANK YOU LORD.

For her children: Harvey Donald Brown, our infant baby, an angel in heaven; E. Thomas (Kathy) and their children: Erinn, Shayna, Cara; Mary Ellen, God's gift from heaven: Mark (Trish) and their two children, Andrew and Emily Grace; and Joseph Hughes Brown our adopted son who God sent to us as a special gift to love and take care of.

For her extended family: John and Cindy Unkefer and their children and grandchildren. I love you all as my own.
I thank you God for all my other children: For all the babies at St. Vincent's Children's Home who taught me to love.

For all the children in the Special Education Classes whom I taught to know and love God.
For all the foster children I love and cared for.

WE THANK YOU LORD.

For all the people who I love and who loved me throughout such a wonderful life.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, William Harvey and Frances Witten; her husband of 47 years, Edward Joseph Brown, Jr.; her brother Jack Witten; her son Harvey Donald in infancy; her adopted son, Joseph Hughes Brown; her nieces Barbara Mallinger and Diane Larsen; her nephews, Jim Mallinger, and Rondel Brown; and her great niece, Julia Lynn DeMarco.

Visitation will be held at ST. BERNARD PARISH (1617 W. Pine St. Appleton) Tuesday February 1, 2011 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Ryan will officiate. Committal Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.

The family wishes to thank everyone at ThedaCare at Home Hospice , especially Mary, Beth, Ann and Jane; Dr.Kimberly Berg and Dr. Lisa Kokontas for their kind and loving care of our mother.
