Gerald Francis "Gerry" Vondrachek, of Appleton, passed away on March 4, 2024.  He was born on August 12, 1944, in Reedsville, WI, the eighth and final child of Charles C. and Veronica (Geigel) Vondrachek.

Gerry graduated from Reedsville High School with the class of 1962.  He was a colorful character able to speak easily and confidently.  This led to success as a persuasive salesman, whether selling cars or various types of municipal equipment.

For many years, Gerry was the head of the Dancing Singles committee where he made many special friendships.

Gerry is survived by his son, Jason (Raphaela) Vondrachek of Sarasota, FL and their children Madeleine, Chloe, Serena, and Lukas; daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Atkins of Lima, OH and their children Jacob, Elise, Susanna, and Caleb; and siblings:  Jerome (Julie) Vondrachek, Catherine Otte, Anne (James) Beasley, and Teresa (Orrin) Piepenburg.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Deep gratitude to godchild/niece Anne Peterson and her husband Terry for their constant love and assistance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, April Ann Vondrachek; siblings:  Rita (Jurgen) Vincent, Mary (William) Egan, and James Vondrachek; and brothers-in-law, Donald Otte and James Hartnett.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral at 4:00 p.m. with Deacon Mark Farrell officiating.

Memorials may be made in Gerry's name to any Alcoholics Anonymous organization in honor of his proudly declared 31 years of sobriety.

Gerry's family wishes to thank nurses Cora and Michelle for their outstanding care and compassion in tending to his needs.  Additional thanks to faithful friends who drove for necessary appointments and required errands during his last few months.
