Gerald "Jerry" Hoehne, age 62, of Kimberly, passed away Saturday May 8, 2010 at home. Gerald was born October 8, 1947 to Robert and Marjorie (Pein) Hoehne. In 1966 he graduated from Kaukauna High School. Jerry married Mary Verstegen on June 5, 1971 at St. John Church, Little Chute. Jerry served his country in the US Army for two years in Germany and the Army National Guard, retiring in 1994 after 23 years of service. Jerry was employed by Thilmany of Kaukauna retiring in January, 2010 after 41 years. Jerry enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and was an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Mary; four children: Garrick (Marleny) and daughter (Ruby) Hoehne, Anchorage, AK; Christian Hoehne, Kimberly, WI; Kyle Hoehne, Menasha, WI; and Neil Hoehne, Kaukauna, WI. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Grace Verstegen; brothers: Robert (Sharon) Hoehne, Kaukauna, WI and Don (Marcia) Hoehne, Kaukauna, WI; sisters: Lynn (John) Stumpf, Morrison CO, Barbara Bies, Little Chute, WI, Mary (Kevin) Cox, Kaukauna, WI; brothers-in-law: Steven (Denise) Verstegen, Hilbert, WI and Kevin (Julie) Verstegen, Greenville, WI; sisters-in-law: Barbara (Karl) Hooyman, Darboy, WI, Patricia (Rudy) Ronk, Shiocton, WI and Carla (Richard) Masten, Greenville, WI; special Godchildren, Monica Dreissen, Brandon Hooyman and Tim Stumpf; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law James Verstegen; and brother-in-law Gerald Bies.
Visitation will be held Wednesday May 12, 2010 beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – KIMBERLY SITE (620 E. Kimberly Ave.). The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Military rites conducted by the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 will be held at the cemetery.
