George W. Cross, De Pere, age 68, died Monday, May 19, 2025.  He was born in Elmhurst, IL on April 26, 1957 to the late George and Lorraine (Papenbrok) Cross.  In his free time, George enjoyed volunteering with the Special Olympics and the Great Dane Society.

George is survived by his children:  Jennifer (Aaron) Coons, Germantown and Dawn (Gary) Kranz, De Pere; their mother, Mary Cross; grandchildren:  Kina Cross, Benjamin and Derek Coons, Zach Herrick, and Logan Cross; great granddaughters, Ava and Violet; brother, Robert (Anne) Cross, Sr.; sister-in-law, Sherri Cross; nephews:  Robert Cross, Jr., Thomas Cross, Jr., Eric Cross, Josh Cross, Jason Parrish, and Randy Schofield; and nieces:  Kelly Cross, Jackie Hancock, Michelle Weissgerber, Brenda Cross, and Blaine Barbaria.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his siblings:  Diane, Ronald, and Thomas Cross; and nephew, Kurtis Parrish.

Visitation will be held May 31, 2025 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  His Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain William Van Dyn Hoven officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
