Gary F.
Senso
March 18, 1941 – March 26, 2024
Gary F. Senso, age 83, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was born in Appleton on March 18, 1941, to the late Clifton (Nook) and Frances (Hurst) Senso. Gary married the love of his life, Beverly Coffey, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Kaukauna on July 29, 1967. He served his country in the United States Army and later spent 42 years at Thilmany Papers, retiring in 2003. Gary was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, Marquette Golden Eagles, and Wisconsin Badgers. He loved the outdoors and spending time at their cottage on Pine Lake in Hiles, Wisconsin. At Pine Lake, he enjoyed fishing, entertaining family and friends and many hot sheepshead and cribbage games. He loved his garden at home and was an accomplished woodworker, specializing in handmade cribbage boards. Gary's family will remember him as a caring family man who loved spoiling his grandchildren, and someone always willing to help others.
Gary is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bev; his sons: Doug (Cathy), of Freedom; and Phil, of Appleton; and his grandchildren, Abigail, and Nate Senso. He is further survived by his siblings: Guy (Betty) Senso, Lee Senso, and Grant Senso; his siblings-in-law: Mike Coffey, Dennis Coffey, Dolly Verhasselt, and Mark (Patricia Koniecki) Coffey; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Peter; Bev's parents, Edward and Marion Coffey; and in-laws: Sandra Coffey, Susan Coffey, and Earl Verhasselt.
