Gary E. Grissman, Kaukauna, age 69, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Little Chute.  He was born in Kaukauna on November 8, 1947 to the late John and Alice (Biersteker) Grissman.  Gary married Elaine Spierings at Holy Angels Parish on October 14, 1977.  He served his country in the Air Force, and then worked at Kaukauna Utilities until his retirement in 2006.  Gary could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to family and friends.  He had a passion for restoring cars, especially Pontiacs, and playing Sheepshead.  Gary was a proud grandfather and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elaine; children:  Amy (Mike) Tilford of Northport, AL and Alyssa (Fred Hoffman) Grissman of Brillion; grandchildren:  Maddie, Lily, Brynn, Brody; a grand-dog Rocky; brothers:  Jack (friend Joanie Gustofson), Don (Kathy), Terry (Ann) and David (Diane); and brothers and sisters-in-law:  Karen Spierings, Mike (June) Spierings, Nancy (Hank) Kokke and Eileen (Bob) Van Camp.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, John and Evelyn Spierings; sister, Judy Grissman; and sister-in-law, Ann Feucht.Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 ^th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 p.m.  The Rev. Jerome Pastors will officiate. Military honors, conducted by the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 and American Legion Post 41,will immediately follow. Committal St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.
