August 2, 1931 – July 14, 2024
Frank A. Meyer, Appleton, age 92, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his home. He was born in Neenah on August 2, 1931, to the late Frank John and Otillia (Staab) Meyer. Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 with the Strategic Air Command. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Frank graduated from Neenah High School in 1949. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and his Master of Science in Teaching from University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Frank taught psychology at Menasha High School for over 30 years and supervised Jefferson Park pool in the summer months.
Frank is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Cheri) Meyer, Gregory (Paula) Meyer, Michael Burke, and Patrizia Petrova; grandchildren: Tyler (Chelsea), Alyssa, Briana, and Christopher Meyer; great- grandchildren: Grayson and Evelyn Meyer; and nieces and nephews: Mike (Shirley) Meyer, Margo Huebner, Marcus (Debbie) Meyer, Melissa Jewel, Murray (Terry) Meyer, Mindy (Keith) Meyer, and Mary Colburn. He is further survived by great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and special friends Tom and Ken.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Erika; brother, Jack and sister-in-law, JoAnn; sister, Carol Olp; nieces Meredyth King and Mia Meyer; and special friends Dale and Jeanine Lenz.
