Ferdinand David Wedde, Ferd, 76, of Waupaca, WI, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday August 26th, 2020. He was born on January 9th, 1944 to Ferdinand A. Wedde and Charlotte (Peterson) Wedde in Mattoon, WI.

Ferd was a faithful child of God who loved his Creator and the church that Christ established. He was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Waupaca. Ferd loved his family deeply and his grandchildren with every stitch of his being. He worked at the Waupaca Foundry for 34 years and serviced the community of Waupaca for decades with a myriad of businesses such as Wedde's Cab and Wedde's Fresh Cut Christmas Trees. Ferd was a hard worker and had a generous soul. He enjoyed gardening and working outside. He loved riding his motorcycle and cherished his time behind the handle bars. Especially his trips with special friends like Roger Lewis. Ferd touched the lives of many and offered himself as a faithful friend or father figure to anyone who spent time with him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Janine (Burns) Wedde; his son, David (Shelly) Wedde; daughter, Tracy (Jon) Stahl; grandchildren: Noah (Kayla), Maclaine (Sarah) and Allison Stahl, Tyler Wedde and Dylan Morzfeld. He is also survived by one brother, Michael (Mary Ann) Wedde; a sister-in-law, Pat (Clarence) Kipke; several nieces and nephews, and his faithful furbaby Joey.

Ferd was preceded in death by his parents: Ferdinand and Charlotte Wedde; brother, Timothy Wedde; brother, Donald Wedde; sister, Margaret DuRen; sister, Joy Loveless; and brother, Peter Wedde.

There are no plans for a memorial service but a celebration of his life will be planned at a future date.
